History
Built in 1798 by Dr. Jacob Suydam, the Stage Inn was a popular resting stop for drovers bringing livestock to the river for shipment to market. The house has served as his office, a hotel, and a post office until 1906, before becoming a private residence. The 92-acre property had many inhabitants over the years, including a farm-to-table operation from 2014-2019.

Today
In June 2019, Stage Inn met its newest owners. Along with the historic home came a large protected wetland, forested hillsides, several acres of farmland, and several outbuildings, including a historic barn. After taking the time to make some improvements to the house, Suydam Hills Farm was founded.
